Of course we also make Spumante at La Festeggiata – this delicate, sophisticated lady - Juu-sofine - will fill your nose with flavors of lychee, peach and subtle toast. She fits every occasion but loves a good party – share her with friends, your date or lover. She is a little pink but can handle a real man!
A sparkling sensation made on the traditional method in our cellar. Made on 100% Sangiovese adding a little pink to the spumante. The grapes are harvested 550m above sea level - almost the highest field in Chianti Classico. We pick the grapes a little early to keep some acid and keep the spumante crisp. All bottles are capped by hand for the second fermentation and after 12 months on lees we carefully turn all the bottles in wooden pupitres to catch the lees in the bottle neck. The lees are disgorged and we top our spumante up with more spumante – because it is so good – giving you a dry but still fruity spumante.
